Join Aslan and I as we leave our mooring at Dutton on the Trent & mersey Canal, and continue south towards our next overnight stop, at Marston.

Along the way we pass through two dark, damp and twisty tunnels – Saltersford and Barnton. Fortunately this time, I remember to turn the light on and wear the correct glasses.

Travelling through Anderton and passed it’s world-famous boat lift, we eventually arrive at the service point – where I fill Aslan’s water tank, dispose of some rubbish, and empty the toilet.

A little later we moor up at Marston, where I stay for the night.
