Eating around Tokyo starting with a 3 hour food and drink tour around Tsukiji Fish Market! We tried tuna sashimi, fish cake, Japanese omelettes (and saw how it’s made), roasted nuts, sake, sencha green tea and a sushi lunch. We also FINALLY went to teamLab Borderless – an art exhibition that’s been on my list for years. It definitely didn’t disappoint. Interactive, technology-filled and ethereal. It felt like we were transported into a different world – a great activity when the heavens decide to pour over Tokyo!

Hannah really wanted to experience the craziness of the world’s busiest crossing in Shibuya so we headed there then stopped by an izakaya for drinks, snacks and so much entertainment. Few glasses of prosecco later… karaoke happened. Oh hey Big Echo and Golden Gai, we love you. SO much.

Not just a fish market (though this is a GREAT place to try fresh fish and shellfish – oh heyyyy oysters and fatty tuna). There are a ton of stalls full of veggies, fruits, meats (wagyu beef), souvenirs, desserts, matcha and coffee. There’s something for everyone!

I’ve wanted to come here for a few years and this definitely didn’t disappoint! An interactive art exhibition that connects interactivity with technology. An experiential and ethereal experience. Highly recommend. Also a great place to bring the little ones as they have various sections for babies and young children to experience the art too!
