NYSE big board: Stocks plummet after Trump suspends travel from Europe to U.S.
The New York Stock Exchange closed on Thursday with the DOW Jones down over 2,350 points as stocks continue to slump over the COVID-19 virus.
The DOW opened down more than 1,700 points just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced travel from Europe, excluding the U.K., would be suspended for 30 days as of Friday over concerns about the COVID-19 virus.
A drop in markets Thursday morning triggered the second temporary halt in a week.
