The Australian Medical Association’s Tony Bartone says “international travel is not going to be on the agenda anytime this year”.
“It’s really going to be up to the evolution of a vaccine before we can start to see that kind of return,’ he said.
Mr Bartone said cafes and restaurants would likely see eased restrictions long before pubs and nightclubs.
According to health advice given to the government, he said mass gatherings were “not even contemplated at the moment”.
