Backpacking through Asia + Europe with a small little backpack. Minimalism at it’s best. See what I packed to take with me!

Can you tell I’m crazy for coconut water? Look at all those coconuts!
As promised below is the summary of what I took. I’m a fairly active person so as you can see a lot of my items were sports gear… if you won’t be taking such things with you, you’ll have even more room for things you find valuable and useful on your travels 🙂

NOTE REGARDING CARRY-ON BAG VS. CHECKED BAG AT AIRPORT:
I took a single small backpack that weighed about 7.4 kg in total. A lot of airlines have weight limits for carry-on bags, and my backpack exceeded this limit. Regardless, I did not report it as checked luggage and took it on the plane as a carry-on, and luckily never had any problems. I flew in a total of 13 planes over the 6 months and no one ever weighed my bag… so you can choose to do this or not at your own discretion.
